Tianjin Binhai New District launches innovative enterprise leader plan

According to reports, the Tianjin Binhai New Area's Leading Initiative for Innovative Enterprises will implement scientific and technological enterprises ’efforts to nurture and bolster scientific and technological innovation, strategic emerging industries’ technological innovations and tactics, major innovation platform construction and tactics, innovation and ecological improvement, and sci-tech system reform. The "five major tackling actions" accelerate the cultivation and expansion of the technological enterprise group, overcome a number of core key technologies, create a number of innovative platform carriers, form an innovation ecology that is conducive to the rapid growth of technological enterprises, and build a world-class industrial innovation center.
According to the development goals formulated by the plan, by 2023, Tianjin Binhai New Area will have more than 5,500 national high-tech enterprises, 3,500 national science and technology small and medium-sized enterprises, 2,000 young chick enterprises, and 200 gazelle enterprises. The number of leading technology companies and leading cultivation enterprises reached 100, and a total of 10 high-value start-ups were introduced and cultivated. In strategic emerging industries such as artificial intelligence, biomedicine, new energy and new materials, and aerospace, we will solve a number of "life gate" technologies and overcome a number of core key technologies that restrict the development of the industry. By 2023, we will accumulate key new products. 450 items and 300 "killer products", strategic emerging industries accounted for about 50% of the added value, and high-tech (manufacturing) added value accounted for about 30%. Build a batch of national-level major innovation carrier platforms to build Binhai Science City. By 2023, there will be 550 R & D institutions above the municipal level and 10 municipal industrial technology research institutes. Gather a group of high-end innovative talents, improve the incubation system, strengthen the integration of technology and financial innovation, and strengthen the use and protection of intellectual property rights.
